Machine Boy - i of many
There’s more than a few standout tracks on this album by Machine Boy and two of them iMachine and People have vocals added. Humanitarian lyrics are not something you would expect to hear from a machine but this, to me, is what makes Machine Boy stand out from the ‘many’.
He goes on to prove that not just lyrics can resonate emotion and leaves the rest of the tracks instrumental. Chimes is pacy and Spooked has a great funky back beat overlayed with synth. Klime has a retro feel for me and Phase 3 drives forward steadily into fast moving Photo X. Shlang demos an unusual synth sound that messes with your head! But the beauty in this Machine Boy offering is Eternal – trippy, atmospheric and made for high end head cans!
He’s being a little coy with a nod to swimming in a crowded market with his ‘i of many’ title but the truth is he’s standing out by a mile with this offering.
