This year's Maccabees...bought the album after downloading i tunes single of the week

Reminds me of Jimmy Eat World and The Postal Service but with a weird English twist. Heard it on Edith Bowman's show on Radio 1, saw them last week live, this band are this year's Maccabees ...believe!

A decent debut

The inevitable references with The Get-Up Kids and Death Cab for Cutie will no doubt help this new band form a devoted following of fans. The similarities are justified, as IWACS have clearly been influenced by Ben Gibbard's work in general, more particularly The Postal Service (and perhaps in part 'I am a Robot and Proud') as the album largely relies on sweet electronica as the platform from which Marriott delivers his hushed and typically indie styled vocals, which are endearingly heartfelt. A decent debut.

Recommendations...

For two such young guys they prove they are capable of making some big songs. A suprisingly mature album, I look forward to hearing what they do next. It does sound like Death Cab For Cutie but thas no bad thing..with not a bad track in sight.
