freak out with teenage daydream

a cross between the shangri -las and souxsie and the banshees. This is well executed and manages to retain a darkness. I could hear this again in 20 years or I could live it now. Either way this is the best thing I've heard so far this year. Not one song is a duff; simon and garfunkel meets the cramps / suzanne vega meets the jesus mary chain. all good stuff. is the band named after iggy pop's song ? I think we shoud be told.

nothing new here

This is a fine album and this particular sound is a bit of a craze in the states at the moment. But anyone who's listened to swedish duo THE RAVEONETTES early material may draw strong a strong comparison.Good, but as i put above, nothing new.

A pretty bold statement but it's worthy of the title personally. The recent release of Best Coast's debut has only furthered my appreciation for I Will Be; slightly disappointed with Crazy For You.

The album has a great sense of immediacy and energy; the lyrics are pop staples (similar to the Ronettes lyrically) and the popular lo-fi brand is a little buzzed out a la Vivian Girls. Blank Girl is possibly one of the most eloquently expressive love songs I've heard all year, featuring Crocodiles man Brandon Welchez.

In 2008, lead singer Kirstin Gundred (aka Dee Dee) began making solo recordings as Dum Dum Girls, deriving the name...
