iTunes Review
Once upon a time, before Andre was 3000, before Big Boi got that purple ribbon, and before Cee-Lo was a Soul Machine, Outkast and their Atlanta affiliates in the Dungeon Family made some of the most innovative and affecting hip-hop to be heard on either side of the Mason-Dixon line. But after spitting out four classic albums of mesmerizing poetry about growing up poor and brilliant in the sweaty ATL night, Boi and Andre finally bore out all those Beatles comparisons they’d been saddled with over the years by drifting apart and releasing a pair of brilliant but troublingly eclectic solo masterpieces in the form of the SpeakerBoxxx/The Love Below albums. So where does Idlewild, Outkast’s fifth full-length and the nominal soundtrack to the film of the same name, find our heroes? After teasing fans with the glorious, nostalgia inducing throwback of album opener “The Mighty ‘O’,” Andre and Big Boi re-immerse themselves in the dazzling no holds barred eclecticism of Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, embracing Stax-style soul (“The Train”), 21st-Century Blues (“Idlewild Blue”), twisted vaudeville showstoppers (“Life Is Like A Musical”), and all points in between. Ultimately, Idlewild is a ragged-but-right tour de force, its occasional meanderings more than made up for by its feverishly inspired peaks.

Done it Again
Another amazing album from the greatest hip hop group of all time. This album confirms that Outkast go further than Tribe, De La Soul or Wu Tang ever did. This isn' t even the next full album, it's just the soundtrack and its better than most of the stuff out there. Goes back to the days of Southernplayalistic and mixes with Stankonia and Speakerboxx/Love below.. Love it
A solid album...not their best
There is some insight into the genious of Outkast, but it seems they are pretty divided (big boi and andre don't even feature in songs together). Mutron Angel, Peaches, Mighty O and the excellent Morris Brown are standout tracks...sadly the rest is filler and you may just want to pay for individual tracks....they are still amazing though.
Morris Brown
The name says it all best track on the entire album although one thing puzzels me. . you get the video "Morris Brown (on the set)" But you dont get the Moriss Brown music video. hmmm abit of a strange move there iTunes, But appart from that buy this album you'll love it. But one other thing iTunes Whens us British Peeps going to get our TV content on iTunes?
