utter boredom

i used to be a huge RHCP fan about 20 years ago, since than i've gotten much older and so have anthony kiedis & co. it's a heartbreak to see my favorite band wither away... i didn't enjoy the last three albums as much as the earlier ones, but this one is simply boring and lame with all the excitement gone. this is the first RHCP album i regret to have bought and i'm truly sad about the band, not the wasted money.

RHCP ARE BACK

For those worrying that the Peppers will struggle without John Frusciante. This album proves you wrong. Flea sounds fresh, AK sounds fresh, Chad is on top form as always and Josh Klinghoffer brings it by the lorry load. His backing vocals will give you goosebumps and you will not be able to stop yourself singing along and tapping away.

Where did the creativity go?

This is their most bland effort yet, as I feared after hearing the lead single 'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie'. Nothing on the album stands out, it's very wishy-washy, half-assed and generally just mediocre.

It seems like they've hugely toned down their creativity and excitement - where has it all gone?
The only songs that I appreciate are 'Brendan's Death Song' and 'Police Station'.

By The Way and Californication are still their finest bodies of work.

The roots of the band lay in a friendship forged by three school chums, Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary, and Hillel Slovak,...
