KIGH have really upped their game here and brought out something new freash and modern.

An album with more energy

I loved Smart Casual bit Dirt was a bit too poppy for my liking. With this album KIGH have adapted their sound to be more gritty, and energetic.

The Best Has Come

Kids in Glass Houses are a band who I have followed since their first single and it is most humbling to hear them at their very best.

Like every major fan you get a little apprehensive whether your favourite band's new album will ever match their previous. Being a huge fan of Smart Casual, I never believed DIRT could really beat the sounds of Give Me What I Want, Saturday and Easy Tiger, along with the heartfulness of a song like Lovely Bones. DIRT surpassed this with a completely new more indie-pop direction with tracks like Hunt the Haunted and Matters At All.

Whilst tracks from DIRT will permanently live in my most listened to playlists, DIRT promised something that I never thought In Gold Blood could deliver. Working with The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford on Undercover Lover, I thought the boys from Kids had peaked - a band with a reasonable small fan-base hitting the mainstream with a member of a band who are making tremors worldwide: how could they do better than that? Well, when Aled sang 'The Best is Yet to Come', he truly meant it - and here it is.

In Gold Blood delivers what Kids in Glass Houses do best: themselves, at their best. The band have gone on a completely new direction with this record. From meant-for-mainstream tracks such as Gold Blood and Animals which are truly meant-to-be-heard-live tracks with incredible depth. I could try and find something similar to compare these to, but truly, there is nothing that compares to these tracks - this is a unique, new and vitalising sound.

Teenage Wonderland and Diamond Days offer the depth you expect from the boys, relating back to The Morning Afterlife of DIRT but putting a completely new spin on a heartfelt track.

Fire is possibly the track that excited me most hearing it for the first time. It may just be me, but there is a reminiscence of Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana in there, and like the King of Pop, the track is a lyrical masterpiece.

I could go on forever and speak of what is great about each track in detail, but really there is no need: the whole record is incredible and it's the best of 3, however hard it was to beat DIRT.

Unlike some bands, what you hear is really what you get. This is raw music - what you hear on this album is what you'll hear live. After a summer of festivals, they really have captured the public's eye and deserve for this album to thrive. Impartially and unbiasedly, Kids in Glass Houses completely stole the NME stage at T in the Park this year in a mindblowing performance. Having seen The Killers in Hyde Park this year, I can honestly say that Kids in Glass Houses give them a run for their money on the live stage - Aled and the boys truly put blood (gold, of course), sweat and tears into producing sets which aim please the crowd.

Kids in Glass Houses are a band who put so much care into every aspect of their work - from the most incredible music videos, the most fantastically abstract artwork to the greatest gigs, please appreciate their genius. Unfortunately, I'm not able to see them on their tour in October - but take my place, you'll not regret it.

I said before the best has come, but i lied. In fact, the best SO FAR has come. This band have so much to offer - just buy this album and give them the oxygen of publicity they need and deserve. Tell your friends, tell your mother, tell your teachers, your aunts, uncles, colleagues and peers - we've all got gold blood running through our veins. It's now time to realise it.
