great

a wonderful album

i cant believe its been 21 years

predictably enough the only track i want is not available by itself (chains of love unfettered mix)

classic of classic's

Not just a classic Erasure album but a classic all time album. The Innocents was a major part of the development of Erasure's music and this album is regarded as the beginning of such a successful duo in pop, lasting over 25 years together and still producing top quality music. The Innocents is time less, as demonstrated by the release of The Phantom Bride EP. The songs are perfectly constructed and performed, and here remastered in a very well done manner. The songs are given some extra umph and the synth lines are brought out, this album was recorded 21 years ago so by remastering it it has cleaned up the sound and boy does it sound better than ever. I really hope this strikes cords and makes waves again in the charts, it deserves to have a new lease of life in 2009.

Missing track

In the track listing as part of the sleeve notes it mentions Gimme Gimme Gimme by Abba, but this aint on the track listing. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Furthermore, Erasure had the flamboyantly eccentric Andy Bell — one of the first openly gay performers in pop music — as their focal...
