Life imitates art
This is ace! Years ago The Members warned us about the Merchant Bankers and now they have come back (from the dead?) to revisit that same fantastic tune. I seem to remember thinking that banking was an unusual theme for a pop single back then but today what could be more natural. It's like a protest song straight from the financial pages and it has definitely found its time. Absolutely love it.
This is a Wake up Call from the Grassroots of Punk Rock
I bought all three Versions of this and they are all Fine, they all Kick But and remind me that No-body is making protest music like this... Thats why We needed the Members to come back and remind us how to do it. Listen to Nick Tesco deride the Bankers and Stockbrokers listen to him evoke the memory of Bob Marley and Joe Strummer... Oh and the old Offshore riddim has been brouth bang up to date..... An instant Classic....
