iTunes Review
Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ billowing cloud of avant-rock is invaded here by a clutch of disco synths, exploring new areas of tempo, personality and atmosphere for this New York art-punk trio. Guitarist Nick Zinner steers the course with imaginative guitar work, drummer Brian Chase probably hasn’t had this much fun drumming on a record before, and singer Karen O wraps herself in electrical-taped chiffon for disco drag-outs “Zero”, “Heads Will Roll” and “Dragon Queen.” Production from David Sitek (TV On the Radio) and Nick Launay ensure It’s Blitz! is a contemporary affair.

Heads will rock
dont understand what people are complaining about when moaning that they have gone in a different direction as using too many synths? What do you want from a band? Do you want them to just make the same album over and over again? If yes, go listen to U2 and coldplay. The sound has a different flavour but this is obviously a yeah yeah yeahs album. Its fantastic. End of story.
Best Album of 2009 (so far)
Can't recommend this enough. Definitely the best album of the year so far for me... I first heard Zero about a month ago and INSTANTLY loved it, I'd always liked YYYs but not this much. Highlights: Zero Heads Will Roll Skeletons Dull Life Runaway Hysteric ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
The BESTEST of the BEST!
Karen O's voice is something that creates dreams. In this album there music is heading in direction, a good one though. My fave track has to be Runaway. Don't expect a Fever to Tell but something even better
