It's Radio:ACTIVE!

Hahaha what a terrible pun! Well I am indeed listening as we speak, first off; I got to download today(4th Aug) which is a lifesaver because it means I can have it on my ipod when I go on holiday tomorrow :) Anyway, the quality seems a bit better than usual from live track which is always good and McFLY once again have put on an awesome display of talent for this gig which you can hear in this album. As many of the albums only have a couple of songs the McFLY one stands out as more have been recorded which is great for major fans. The booklet has some good pictures, not as long as I hoped but hey, it's about the music! DEFINATE BUY FOR McFLY FANS! : )

'im giving it all!'

Yet again McFLY perform an electrifying live set which introduces numerous breathe taking new songs which are fresh and powerful. 'The Last Song' is an anthem that Queen would be proud of with its piano introduction and raw guitar riffs. As the boys say, 'im giving it everything, im giving it all.' This song is truely magnificant and is a punchy way to end their performance. Danny Jones' 'Falling in Love' is a beautifully illustrated song that would melt any girls heart. You can almost feel the emotions coming from within Danny through his rugged Bruce Springsteen like voice. Although 'Five colours' was never a favourite of mine, it has certainly grown on me after the boys have rocked it up making it more edgey and rocky which loses the original songs pop like sound. It appears that the boys love performing this song live which shows through the sheer volume of enthusiasm from Tom Fletcher when he holds the crowd in great suspense during his solo during the song when he sings 'and nooooooowwwwwww' before thrashing into a Jimi Hendrix style riff. Of course the new single 'One for the Radio' is another McFLY anthem yet singing it live proves a little difficult for Danny Jones during his solo when he fails to reach that high note during the word 'radio.' However, who can blame him, his voice does not lie within the soft and gentle category, this mans voice is built for powerful numbers! Two other new songs include 'Everybody Knows' and 'POV' which are both incredibly different yet exciting songs. 'POV' is more bordering on the heavy rock side of music whereas 'Everybody Knows' is summery and poppy which we all love. I would most definatly rate this EP and would urge any McFLY fans (or people who havnt listened to them before) to download it and appreciate the effort that McFLY put into their work. Not only do they sing live and play their own instruments, they write their own material too. Two thumbs up from me! Ashley McCraw
