Customer Reviews

Absolute belter of a record.

I'd urge anyone out there not familiar with The Nextmen to get this record, check out their website and go see them live as fast as your little legs can carry you. They are absolute class. Another cracking album here from the lads. The Lion's Den with Ms. D & Andy Cato is an absolute belter, Burn is a beautiful, heart wrenching piece of joy and Round Of Applause is yet another stellar piece of hip hop. Get the album now! Excellent work.

could they be the finest dj duo ever?

i love the next men wither it be jazz or hip hop or dance or funk they always bring it its always bouncing and the way they mix and layer beats and samples and 'pella's over things is great! top dj's , top dj mix albums and this is a top album listen buy love!

(Get) Get Over It

I wanted to really love this, like I wanted to really love This Was Supposed to be the Future. Sadly, it wasn't to be (again). In my book, Get Over It is still their best album. If you like Get Over It, you'll probably think this and the last album are a little boring (though you'll probably like The Lion's Den, which is the dogs b*******). The album contains the sort of music they play in those bleached wood mcwine bars in the hope it'll make them sound "happening". I've got seven of The Nextmen albums so I'm loyal, if nothing else, but I think they peaked way too early. If their sound stays like Join the Dots, it's all going to be a little bland. Buy this if you like your Nextmen dull; buy Get Over It if you like them rocking . . .
