Gather is a dark downtempo gem and there are other classic tracks here. However, eight tracks for 7.99 seems a bit steep. So I suggest you purchase 7 singly and substitute the missing 'album only' track with Triangle (Retriangulated) by Bluetech off their Prima Materia album. Bluetech's cover is a classic in its own right and shows how far this style of music has developed in seven years. (Apologies to Sounds from the Ground if you lose a few royalties.) - (One week later) o.k. I've been listening to this for a week now and I've changed my mind. Buy the whole thing! If you can't afford it now. Save up! Oh, and buy Bluetech's cover as well.

Ambient dub-techno duo Sounds From the Ground first came to prominence in 1996 with the epic "Triangle," which was followed by another landmark production, "Gather." After releasing these two successful singles, duo members Elliot Jones and Nick Woolfson crafted their debut long-player, Kin (1996).
