Album Review

It's no wonder fans continue to sing this band's praise forever: 12 years and 11 studio albums into their career, Delirious? created another characteristic rock album. Kingdom of Comfort is one of the band's brightest spots, delivering socially conscious lyrics that evolved from eye-opening tours to Third World countries. After visiting the slums of India, Cambodia, and South Africa, frontman Martin Smith crafted a powerful thematic message that indicts the generation of entitlement and media consumerism. Smith calls us to action and demands that we give more thought to helping the world's poor. The message is complete on worship tracks "How Sweet the Name" and "We Give You Praise," explaining that the reason to reach out of our comfort zones is to honor God. With a diverse, well-crafted set of rock tracks, even casual fans have to acknowledge that this project is a genuine tour de force.

I am not a Christian but this blew me away.....

I have been aware of Delirious for a few years but have always dismissed them because I am not a Christian. However I have listened to the new album repeatedly and cannot get enough. You do not need a deep belief in God to be touched by the lyrics telling the stories of the injustices that they have discovered during their travels round the world. The album is hard hitting and whether a Christian or not you will sit up and think. Musically they are superb and put most "mainstream" artists to shame with their passion and genuine love for what they do. Whether a believer or not buy this album, every credible music collection should have it!

Delirious' finest hour

A stunning album filled with so much emotion and lyrics that fit this perfectly. I have always liked Delirious, but I never have wanted to listen to an album of theirs non stop, I'm now on about my 15th time through the album and I still haven't got anywhere near bored. My favourite songs are 'Stare the Monster down' (classic which I wish could be released in the charts!), 'Break the silence', 'Kingdom of Comfort' (great first track), and 'My soul sings'. Infact they are all great and flow so well. Also if you go on their official website you can download 2 extra tracks for the album for free!!!! This album is for anyone and easily rivals acts like Coldplay and U2 (and I'm not just saying that, listen to it and you'll see for yourselves this is a quality album).

Soul Savers!

This Album is sharp and to the point. Delirious has congured up another masterpeice and its all for God once again. I like to bless Delirious on what they are doing and I hope they continue serving God and creating fantastic anthems for us to sing in our churches.
