Excellent Debut
rarely does an album come along that raises the hair on the back of your neck with such honesty, warmth and passion. i stumbled across a live gig of jamie's and was dumbstruck by his command of the audience and the intensity of his performance. the album varies from song to song and you never quite know where its going to go. 'union st.' tells the sad tale of perhaps a lover or a friend lost to the excesses of a well known path in plymouth, jamie's hometown. 'bruises' aches with beauty, passion and a brutal honesty which swells and ebbs to a satisying conclusion. i'm probably going overboard with this review but i just can't sum up how much i love this album. buy it, immerse yourself in it and you will love it!
