One to listen to again and again
Sometimes I find songs that are just so amazing that I will play them over and over again, and this is one of them! Paolo Nutini has a mesmerising voice and it's a very heart-felt song.
Grant my last request and get this song
With a maturity that far outweighs his years, this is a masterpiece of melancholy. It's great to hear Paolo singing this bittersweet tune. He really is Paisley's finest musical asset (sorry Gerry Rafferty). "Last Request" is just as good with only an acoustic guitar as evidenced at 2006's T in the Park - but this is simply a beautiful song - expertly played! It could have been written and sung by Paul Weller; it's that good. Actually, it's better than that. If you've heard him sing it live (you may have caught him on GMTV) you'll know he croons it with his own Scottish accent - Pure Magic by the way!
