Hopefully the start of a promising solo career
I can't believe this album hasn't been reviewed by anyone on here yet! Although that may be down to some people not realising it's available because on the Kai Fish website it says 26th September is the release date?? And for those not in the know, Kai Fish is the bass player from The Mystery Jets.
Anyway just wanted to say this is a fantastic solo album and proves Kai Fish definitely has what it takes to launch a successful solo career. I won't review every song but Kai's lyrics are thoughtful and heart felt and some of the songs hit spine tingling heights (Cobalt Cheeks and Solar Plexus of the World in particular). The fact that this album was conceived and written on a single train journey is testament to his song writing ability.
I look forward to what the future holds in store and can't wait for the second album! Buy this album, you won't be disappointed.
