Genesis Live

Excellent album, was lucky enough to be at the Manchester gig and I'm very happy there are so many songs taken from that special night. This is by far the best sounding live album from Genesis or any band (ok not quite as good as being there, but you can't have everything). The album includes Genesis doing what they do best playing some very old songs and some later songs from their back catalogue and sounding better than ever. The album includes the full setlist (minus Phil's intros) played at all the gigs across Europe and in the US. One album not to be missed by any Genesis fan - a reminder of how good Genesis are. Lets hope they Turn It On Again once more! Enjoy !!!!!!

Wow!

Let me start by saying I'm 21. I grew up listening to Phil Collins as a solo artist and with Genesis. I saw Phil in concert in Manchester a few years ago on his Final Farewell tour. By chance I saw this album on iTunes, and I brought it immediately! It brought back so many memories from when my Mum and Dad used to play songs such as Domino, (my fav!) Tonight, tonight, tonight, Invisible touch etc. There are a few song I did not know, but have grown to love. I agree with other comments, having heard Phil's banter with the crowd on a previous tour, it would have been great to have it included on this. I recommend to fans and people who, like me, grew up with Genesis played in their childhoods!

Get turned on again

Having seen Genesis in Manchester, a show which contributes 5 songs to this collection, I can honestly say that it was a tremendous experience. I doubt that this recording will produce many converts but I'd thoroughly recommend it to any "lapsed" fans or those that saw them in the summer of 07. For those on a budget I'd recommend: "Carpet Crawlers", "Los Endos", "Afterglow", "Ripples" and "Invisible Touch". Look out for the "When In Rome" live DVD due out in February 08.
