Spellbinding
I saw this live on stage, and it took my breath away. I know this is a music review, but I can't comment on the music itself without applauding the sheer wonder of seeing a twenty foot high balrog blow fire and ashes across the auditorium, Orcs on moonboots bound high over the heads of the screaming crowd in the audience, and elves on bungee ropes back-flipping from the palladian arch. If you have the chance, see it, and the opening chords of Lothlorien will always make you feel nostalgic for those precious few hours spent in the dark auditorium. Buy the lot.

this is a amazing, if only all musicals album sounded like this. production quality is second too none.The singing is stunning and the orchestra breathtaking. wow wow wow.
