iTunes Review
Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" was lots of people's choice as the summer song of 2005. Its irresistible marching-band beat and insistent "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" refrain were the star's ultimate proof that the wider stylistic pool she fished in for Love, Angel, Music, Baby was among her smartest moves. Much of the music here expanded on the genre-jumping pop of No Doubt's Rock Steady - cranked-up hip-hop here, wistful New Wave-influenced pop there. Like Madonna, Stefani continues to make waves as not only a style star and major seller, but as a credible artist whose work happens to touch millions.

I'm Impressed!
Well Gwen, congratulations! This is an album to be proud of... I confess, this is an inspired album. Through driven hard work, here is a talent I have hardly ever witnessed, a collaboration that goes beyond talent. This is the sublime creativity that happens when you are time served, but push yourself on, through new boundaries, with a result of startling confidence and virtuosity... for everyone involved, all accounts. Listening to track after track, a wonderment hits you. The thing I am impressed with most is the sheer creativity and diversity. Each track individual, a perfect pocket of imagination and artistry, yet, as an album, a sure and cohesive mix that keeps you interested and surprised in turn. Always fun, but with so much feeling expressed by a voice that can soar and elevates moments into pure uplifting heaven. These are not just hits, but the kind of tracks that, through time, you end up loving. Not least the jazz tinged Long Way to Go which seems to get better and better on a close to perfect album. The Real Thing which is quite beautiful, Danger Zone, Serious, Crash, all get under your skin and become irresistible as does the show stopping Cool, almost a sweet lament, though transformed into joy and appreciation by that touching and stirring voice. Throughout the album a voice of power, passion and expression. What You Waiting For? is a masterful and sophisticated production of energy and flippant self assurance, a tour de force. Harajuku Girls is fun and gets me bouncing, while Hollaback Girls just impresses in it's confidence and boldness. From the punchy mix of Rich Girl to the gorgeous instrumental mix of What You Waiting For? which closes... an unbelievable album. A brilliant Album. One of the best ever made. It's hard to pick a favourite track and impossible to pick a bad one... but for me... Cool is so perfect! It just leaves me to say thanks... You have found the fountain... now do it again Gwen. Be open and make it even better. :o) Philip

Gwen The Legend
Outstanding. What a great album. Pop at its best. Gwen obviously isn't adverse to taking a risk. In my opinion tracks What you waiting for? and Hollaback Girl are classics. The Real Thing as also a great effort. Delighted.
