Here we go for another year...

Fantastic album! Franks debut CD kept me company for the past year on endless long road trips and I know this album will be on repeated listen for the oncoming year and beyond. A definite progression from the first record without losing any of the best elements. Billy Bragg always seems to be associated with Frank but in my eyes (or ears) it should be Evan Dando. Buy it!

Frank writes more good songs

This album is nowhere near as instantly accessible as Sleep...but it's full of the characteristic passion, emotion, and talent for inventive melodies and lyrics that have been typical Frank since the Million Dead days. Far from a cheap acoustic spin-off Frank really comes into his own on this album, distancing himself even from the the predecessor with a more "folk" sound than before - but it's variety shouldn't detract from Frank's ability to make even the initially weaker songs like Better Half or Love Worth Keeping absolutely overpowering by the final chorus, ensuring that there is not actually a truly weak song on the album, and plenty of great ones: Love Ire and Song makes me shiver, Jet Lag is relentlessly beautiful and Imperfect Tense sounds like the Ramones which is no bad thing (complete with appropriate subject matter). Million Dead fans and folk fans, of which I am personally both, shoud enjoy this for what it is - a talented singer-songwriter making an album British music can be proud of.

Frank,Music & Life

Frank creates another fantastic album. His lyrics hit a home everytime I listen to them, if you have only just found Frank, I feel for you, as he is getting bigger and bigger all the time, which will take away from the intermacy of his little gigs, with that said, to see this man live, the passion he sings with, it would not matter how far from the stage you were every lyric would still ring true. Another album of magical songs, a must buy!
