If I could give 10 stars I would!
This album is amazing. I was a bit sceptical when I first found out that there was going to be a Phantom of the Opera sequel but listening to this soundtrack Sir Andrew has made another masterpiece. The songs are really powerful and full of emotion. I haven't seen the show yet but actually cannot wait to go and see it!!
This is a must buy for EVERYONE!!!!!!
BEST ALW SCORE SINCE ASPECTS OF LOVE AND SUNSET BLVD
I saw the show at the Adelphi theatre twice this week and I have to say that in the last 15 years or so this is the most exciting and fantastic nights at the theatre, Andrew Lloyd Webber's score is superb, exquisite, it includes some of the most beautiful songs I ever heard in a show, rousing, romantic, emotional, inspiring. Being a fan of ALW's work since Evita, Jesus, Phantom, Aspects, Sunset etc I was disappointed with his last works like Whistle Down the Wind, Woman in White or Beautiful Game, which were not as good as his previous works, but this time with LOVE NEVER DIES Mr. Lloyd Webber is back at his best, he reminds us he is a pure musical and theatrical genius, my advice is BUY THE ALBUM AND RUN TO THE ADELPHI TO SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL, MELODIC AND UNFORGETTABLE SHOW. You will love it.
Phantom Returns
This week Andrew Lloyd Webber opens Love Never Dies on the west end at the Adhephi. Previews have been on going for a couple of weeks now. I think people are expecting this to be Phantom 2, and forgetting that LNDs is a masterpeice in it's own right. If you are a fan of musical theatre, then buy this album - WITH AN OPEN MIND - this show is set ten years down the line times have changed Phantom has changed - don't expect it to be part 2 in the same style or you will be disapointed.
