Customer Reviews
Dark, intense and fantastic!
Since seeing this band supporting the horrors I have been an avid follower and they have yet to let me down, they have a sound that comes straight from the factory label but keep it new and fresh at the same time. This is not an easy listen, however, and it if your not used to the band it may take a few listens to get your head round.
While these mp3s are fine if you really want to be blown away I suggest you get yourself the record version as it sounds so much better, i just hope itunes put up there 12" planning application and 7" bipolar record before they become simply impossible to find.
theres 40 mins of material here for £2.50 GET IT!
I HAVE THIS ON VINYL SUCKERS
But seriously, this album is amazing. 'Lying' is simply some New Order/Can/Sonic Youth (the guitars) hybrid which always scares me with the creepy, creepy vocals. '16-16-9-20-1-14-9-7' is just this hypnotic drum song with an insistent beat that grabs you by the neck and shakes you over and over again for 10 minutes. 'A Wooden Box' is like 'Lying' except 5 times more hypnotic, scary and Krautrock, and 'Solid Sound' is basically the kind of thing I do when I get bored with a guitar, except I do it for half an hour, not 10 minutes. It's just feedback, but sparse amounts. Overall this is a very repetitive, hypnotic, rythem-driven and generally haunting record, it sounds like it was made in hell by New Order, it is completely timeless, and I personally think it is on of the few decent records of the '00s (I swear this was originally released in 2009). Buy it to be treated to something as original as Can, Joy Division, Neu!, or New Order. ADGUYAGJSCJMAS. Words cannot describe how novel and amazing this record is.
