A great tribute album
This is an excellent album with lots of character. It's very Jeff Lynne, very polished and really well produced. You can feel the love that's gone into every track on this album. Real quality throughout with a rich and varied mix of different artists on every track. And at 32 tracks in total it makes it a bargain. I didn't think I'd enjoy anything but the original versions of these ELO songs as I'm such a big ELO fan, but it was like discovering a newly unearthed original ELO album. Most tracks are close enough to the original but with their own distinctive, fresh edge that each artist brings to the song. Some of the songs are beautiful interpretations. You can hear that each artist has put in 110% into every song. If you're an ELO fan you'll love this album. It's an absolute delight. Jeff Lynne would be proud.
Cant believe this was from 2003
Just bumped into this and can not recommend it enough. The seems to be a real fondness for Lynnes music in the covers performed here. Glad to see some ELO album tracks and Lynne solo work so this is not a rehased greatest hits CD. Eldorado by Flemming and John is espeicially good.
