Genius!
There are no (sorry, i should say few) lyrics due to it being a film soundtrack for the 1934 film 'Man of Aran' (included with the physical CD release). BSP have done an astounding job and it works just as well without the film, cleverly reworking some of there previous tracks. Not the follow up to Do You Like Rock Music? but a side project that will keep me quite happy until the next album.
I might be being shallow
There aren't any lyrics on this album, which does get to me. I liked the lyrics on all of the other albums. The music is still of high BSP standard and it'll be interesting to see whether this will be a success. Personally I think it is their worst album so far but that might be because I loved all the others so much.
Great! As a first time BSP listener...
This album is gentle yet evocative. Auditory self-gratification.
