This is basically a noughties lofi take on the old psychobilly furrow as ploughed so successfully byb the Cramps and their ilk. That said, there's nothing old hat about it. It's as fresh as the daisies it is metaphorically pushing up (if you get my drift). Unlike it's successor, Help (which drags a little at times) or the seemingly endless series of previous limited releases (which can be a bit bewildering) this is a rollicking roller coaster of gothic psychedelia from start to finish, as good for dancing to as wallowing on the crash cushions. A flavour of the thing could be got by downloading "Visit Colonel" and "Graveyard Drug Party".(contains flute!) two contrasting tracks which give a good idea of the arc of the thing. But if you stopped there you'd be missing the delights of "Poison Finger", "Grease", "Quatrospazzed" and the rest. Great stuuf.
