This is a quite extraordinary album by a quite extraordinary talent. An eclectic mix of pure sweet pop, and with many references to other musical influences and styles that make this something special indeed. Standout tracks for me are 'The Way You Are' and Cry Away', which are as well crafted as anything that one can hear with achingly beautiful melodies that will no doubt serve as defining 'life references' for many in the years to come. The quality of the musicianship and big production values that will keep you referring back to discover more and more of the treasures contained here. This is not all 'crystal' though, there are some heavier moments and some surprising chord changes that keep you alert and guessing, but particular mention needs to be made of the harmonic work, both vocal and instrumental and also some of the subtle elements of percussion that help augment the size and spacial qualities of the soundscape. Others will no doubt comment further on the individual tracks, all of them representing a journey of music and spirit for the heart, mind and soul. For me, the whole piece is very, very special and I can see this being played and savoured as something quite remarkable for a long, long time. A significant achievement indeed and one of those albums that I will now not do without !
