Customer Reviews

Wow!

After listening to her last album, Affirmation, I became an instant Beverley Knight Fan. This album is a soul inspired masterpiece! Every lover of Soul Music needs to listen to this! Buy it and give the woman the sucess she deserves!

5 Star Beverley

Music City Soul is an outstanding album which showcases Beverley's vocals and passion as a singer perfectly. Stand out tracks are the tina turner inspired stomper Black Butta, a track that went down like a storm at her last set of concerts. After you, hopefully the next single follows along with a chorus that's like choc. The queen of starting over is an athem, roaring vocals and a cracking hook. There is so much to say about the cd, i love it.... every track a classic Beverley knight. This is a new direction for Beverley and one i'm so glad she made, the results are outstanding.

What a Voice!

This is the best she has ever sounded! Best songs are, Black Butta, After You (Radio Mix), Time Is On My Side, Why Me Why You Why Now, Uptight, and No Man's Land. But to be honest there isn't a poor song on the album. BUY IT, it's great!
