Album Review

This 2008 U.K. compilation offers up a decent 20-track overview of one of modern pop music's most successful singer/songwriters. Music and Passion: The Best of Barry Manilow doesn’t skimp on the classics ("Can't Smile Without You," "Mandy," Copacabana," "I Write the Songs"), and the inclusion of a track from each of his popular Greatest Songs of the 50's, 60's, and 70's albums, as well as a previously unreleased cover of Paul Young's "Everytime You Go Away" helps to sweeten the pot, resulting in a solid set of Cliffs Notes for the Manilow novice.

Average Compilation

Too many naff cover versions on here. Has also omitted some classics such as made it through the rain & tryin to find the feeling again. Ther are a lot better Manilow compilations than this about.

Continuing the best the of the best

Having been twice to his recent concerts in the UK (and no I am no way near the age of a granny!) no-one could help but buy this brilliant album - amazing on CD unbelievably amazing live.
