Great 2nd Compilation!
Bought Mutations vol 1 mainly for Si Begg track and have kept one eye on this new label since. Mutations Vol 2 is a great package. I don't know any of the artists on this one but i think that's the idea. Quality bass wobble & downtempo breaks from Koian, a spacial but edgey cut reminissent of early Aphex Twin from Underpass. Cakeboy's driving breakbeat and clever orchestral arrangement builds and then soars. Shinra offers a slice of real feel good electro followed by some twisted minimal techno from Ki-yota and a real musical & floaty number by Hector Hernandez to round things off. It's kinda like a nightclub with 6 rooms and you wander through each to see where you might end up having a dance. I'd be in Cakeboy's and Shinra's rooms the most... Top stuff from some new names! 8 outa 10
