iTunes Review
Reunited and anxious to reclaim its title as one of pop-punk’s strongest practitioners, Blink-182 delivers an album jammed with hooks and powerful productions. Each member had a hand producing the album, and they balance the group’s early energy with the atmospherics that made Tom DeLonge’s side project Angels & Airwaves a sonic wonder. The band’s deliberate wackiness and juvenilia have mostly been dispatched in favor of emotionally true reflections on life and love. Tunes such as “After Midnight”, “Heart’s All Gone”, and the rhythmically sophisticated “Ghost on the Dance Floor” show Blink-182 being the best pop band it knows how to be. The guitars comfort the ears, purring while creating a soothing wall of sound that even makes the aggression of “Natives” a smooth, appealing listen. Blink-182 even courts dance clubs with “Kaleidoscope” and especially “Love Is Dangerous”. The deluxe edition includes two striking bonus cuts with the atmospheric “Fighting the Gravity” and the unfailingly catchy “Even If She Falls”.
Customer Reviews
A grower
If you're a long term fan, you're going to love it. Regardless of the leak, I've still purchased. Disappointed in the digital booklet, but I'm hoping blink-182 will make that that up by releasing new material before 2017.
You people...
I've just read so much nonsense about "It isn't Blink, it's AVA blah blah blah." Are people just expecting it to sound like AVA? (Which by the way isn't really that big a deal)
This album is the BEST album they've ever written. Did people really want to see three talented middle-aged guys writing toilet humour songs and singing about heartbreak in high school? THIS is growing up and doing it with style. Don't read any negative reviews because those reviewers are clearly 39 year old losers still living with mom.

Blink is back
What can I say, it has been a long time coming but it has definitely been worth the wait. Neighborhoods still retains that classic blink sound but brings something new to the table, just like every other album Blink has brought out. There are definitely elements of all the band members side projects such as +44, AVA, Box Car Racer and Transplants, which all seem to work better when they are brought together.
Even though their side projects have produced some good songs, it is apparent that to make the best music they can, all the band members must be together. "After Midnight" is an example of this, which was described by Mark Hoppus as being a "strong collaborative effort" due to the fact that Tom wrote the verses, Mark wrote the chorus, and Travis had creative control over the drums. Other highlights of the record include "Even If She Falls", "Ghost On The Dance Floor", "Snake Charmer".
For the fans that were hoping for some classic Blink, "Natives" should satisfy entirely.
Overall this is a very strong album and I can only hope this is a sign for all the good things to come.
It's awesome to have you back guys.
