alas, another work of beauty..
Hauntingly beautiful vocals, guitar arrangements and lyrics with a depth which nowadays is sadly too hard to find, is what makes Laura Marling so utterly breathtaking. With an 'old head' and a talent for such sophisticated songwriting (far beyond her years) she is most certainly to be compared to those such as Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Diane Cluck. It is so refreshing to find this in an age where music is becoming so stereotypical. Night Terror, along with a new release Alpha Shadows are perfect examples of her musical sensitivity and compelling musicianship. The previously unheard Alpha Shadows makes us quite aware that this artist has a never-ending supply of music within her, and is unlikely to go anywhere but will most certainly be around for years to come. A rare talent, and one that much attention needs to be paid too!
True music
This song is truley beautiful, lovely lyrics, lovely voice. You can't go wrong.
Stunning
Laura has a certain quality about her...lyrics that reach the soul and have true meaning. Night terror is slightly different from the other tracks on the album - it's slightly haunting, and this is partly what makes it so beautiful. A jem of an EP.
