A Great and very quirky talent
Saw her live a few months back at Barfly and was moved at the depth of emotion contained in her voice and the quirkness of her character, exceptional tracks on here just a shame she altered a couple - Woman whilst still great was better in her original version, Apart from that though, well worth buying

Worth the wait
Been waiting very impatiently to hear this wonderful artist's full length debut and it has completely lived up to my hopes of a truly stunning album.

Alessi's Ark is the brainchild of Alessi Laurent-Marke, a British songbird whose lilting, folk-tinged songs helped propel her from MySpace's inner circle to the roster of Virgin Records. Laurent-Marke began pursuing a songwriting career at the age of 16, having appeased her parents with a promise to return to school if nothing happened within one year's time. Virgin signed the budding musician on the spot, however, and Laurent-Marke promptly decamped to Nebraska to hone her skills with the help of...
