Best Producer

This album shows Mauro Picotto at his best. He is the best Producer of all Djs around the world. This is a past & present album mixed with new and older tracks by him. My favourite is Poseidon.

the lizard man rules

great album! Evribadi is awesome.

not his best

I have been a huge fan of Picotto since The Lizard Man and have followed his music very closely, his music has become more and more mature finding real emotional depth in heavy electronic music and the first 3 meganite mix albums are in my mind faultless. I went to the launch party for this album at the gallery (then at Turnmills) and he played some amazing music. Though the feel of the album is somewhat more commercial than what i'm used to from him. I think the first thing I found a bit disappointing is I have most of the tracks already from his other albums. I don’t feel he picked out his best stuff either. It has got good tracks but it just doesn’t work as a set. It has much less energy than any thing I’ve heard him make since 2000. Radio Rental is the stand out track for me but it is on meganite 3 as well and that is a much better album. Also I feel the need to say how disappointed I was with Bakerloo symphony, I just don’t know what that tracks doing on the CD. We all know how great a DJ Picotto is but he just doesn’t show it off enough here, the mixes are far too rushed. I like the album but I find myself listening to it much less than his other mix CD’s. It pains me to say a bad word about Picotto but I just want to see him producing the work I know he is capable of. I’m a little let down but it doesn’t change my opinion that picotto is a genius
