It needs to get going
This is a song which promised something but never quite delivers. I would never criticise a singer songwriter because they undoubtedly have more talent than me but this song seems to lack a catch. It drifts along quite harmlessly but never quite gets going. It would be perfect background music to a quiet night in but I don't believe it's something you would pick out when scrolling through the MP3 player or the CD's on your shelves. Not the worst free song iTunes have ever provided but neither is it the best.
Like it like!
Great song, got soul. Happier than Damien Rice as well - good start. Probably will attract less screaming teenagers than Ed Sheeran but what the heck. He's a good lad and the rest of the album is highly enjoyable. Besides, no need to compare artists of a similar genre, happily they're all different. Just some are better than others. This one's good.
