Leading in with the twitchiest 60's guitar line since, well, Girls Aloud The Standards emerge from our future sounds column into the fray, with hooks aplenty for any girl group with half an ear between them. With it's chanting demand of 'Don't mystify or vilify me', this proves that all the good songs are not already written.
The Standards are unsung heroes
This fantastic EP is just a snapshot of The Standards capabilities. Out Of The Fire is an unashamedly catchy three minute pop rock riot. 11 Dimensions is equally as catchy in a less obvious way. Already There shows a slower, ballad-y side to the riff-tastic Standards. All three songs showcase the band's talents for great vocal harmonies, clever lyrics and catchy melodies.
Here's hoping they make it big, they deserve it.
Best ever
Have loved their music since the late 90's and this lives up to the rest. Need to get them in the charts for everyone to appreciate
