iTunes Review

Coldplay's ascension as the rock gods of the new millennium rivals that of Nirvana's just ten years earlier. Both were unwitting heroes of a rock scene desperate for a leader, and both donned their crowns with great reluctance. Unlike Nirvana, Coldplay chose the dream-pop route on their debut, with exquisitely executed melodies, mesmerizing guitar hooks, and just enough soul-searching substance to offset the band's gorgeous simplicity. The result is possibly the best pop debut of the decade, and worth every ounce of attention it received. Key tracks: "Yellow", "Don't Panic", "Trouble", and "Proof".

Incredible

Parachutes beets the pants off any of the other coldplay albums, every song is brilliant and there is a song for any mood. Any of the songs could be released now and would go straight to no.1! This has to be the best and most underated album ever!

Amazing

The last of the three Coldplay albums I bought having been introduced to Coldplay the wrong way round, and I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the others as it's a debut album - nope, this one is as brilliant as it's followers, a fantastic beginning for one of the greatest bands ever.

'Don't Panic' this is Great!!!

This is the best Colplay album of all three. Every single song on this album is fantastic. From classics like 'Trouble' and 'Yellow' to other brilliant songs like 'Shiver' and 'Don't Panic'. Where Rush of Blood to the Head and X and Y are great this is superb. For all Coldplay fans a must buy!

The group's emergence was perfectly timed; Radiohead had just released the overly cerebral Kid A, while Oasis had ditched two founding members and embraced psychedelic experimentation on Standing on the Shoulder of Giants....
