Another mind bending release from Flying Lotus.
Messy
Not as amazing as previous works but it's still got something special. However, I wouldn't put on whilst trying to make love.
Good sense of humour
This is my first taster of Flying Lotus but they seem to have a good sense of humour. Pie Face hooked me in from Bleeps first 'podcast' and at £4 I gave it a try.
Although not similar in sound they remind me a wee bit of Broadcast or Modified Toy Orchestra for sheer unusual creativeness. Good stuff.

Great nephew of Alice Coltrane, Flying Lotus (who was born Steven Ellison) made beats for the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming before releasing his debut full-length, 1983, which resembled the work of fellow avant-garde hip-hop producers Madlib, J Dilla, and Ammoncontact, on Plug Research in 2006.
