Not the greatest POTC OST but still good.

I bought this without hesitation after owning and enjoying all previous three OST, there are some familiar themes here it is the same ZImmer we all know and love but with an added spanish feel. The newer themes are enjoyable to listen to but feel kind of short when compared to some of the lengthier and thus more powerful tracks present in the third OST, "At worlds end" will still be my preferred POTC listening but this is a great addition to the previous trilogy and it certainly sounds like it.

I guess the produces of this OST also shared my thoughts on length as they saw fit to include many of these remixes people like to make and upload. I can safely say I will be unchecking the boxes on these tracks so they don't play automatically but you might enjoy them for the novelty.

Super smashing great

Like most of you, I have already purchased the previous soundtracks to pirates and in fairness thought that they couldn't be beaten ....... How wrong I was, this is awesome, I pre ordered it and so glad i did, just awaiting the film to be released .... Recommended you own this

Fantastic

It is definitely Zimmer, he uses similar themes but with a Spanish twist, I like that some are similar as they are the themes and it wouldnt be POTC without them. Some amazing instrumental parts too

Composer Hans Zimmer was born September 12, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany; after relocating to London as a teen, he later wrote advertising jingles for Air-Edel Associates, and in 1980 collaborated with the Buggles on their LP The Age of Plastic and its accompanying hit "Video Killed the Radio Star." A stint with Ultravox followed before Zimmer next surfaced with the Italian avant-garde group Krisma; he then formed a partnership with film composer Stanley Myers, and together they founded the London-based...
