Postcard From an old fan
A brilliant album, I've played it back to back so many times that I don't know what the first song is anymore! I know that they've had some stick over 'Selling out' but what a load of tripe. The same political commentary is there, but in a beautifully polished, melodic album! They haven't sold out, they've moved on up!!!! Yes I love they're older stuff, but this is superb, in it's own right.

asides the typical manicsy way of writing an album, this works perfectly. I'm going to see them on the 29th and i can't wait because this album shouts out, "oi! we've grown up!" i really love the melodic variations particularly in Some Kind of Nothingness. As usual, Bradders, Wire and Moore have gave us a beautifully sculpted piece of musical and lyrical delight! it just shows they can vary their music which is rare these days, it shows they have hung up their silk blouses and ice white skinny jeans and created something modern,exhilarating and damn right manic-esque!
Manics
Im not normaly into this kind of music. Prefering electronic mostly ie. Gary numan , depeche mode etc. But from the moment i heard its not war ( just the end of love ). I had to have it. It rocks. Its brilliant. And ive since been and got more manics stuff. I love them now. And i still cant get that song out my head.
