Excellent debut single
The first single from the new talent Steph, afer seeing her live in Blackpool recently i was blown away by the voice and presence. This young and fantastically talented artist, along with the accomplished guitarist alongside, Ladders, these two will go far. A voice to match Eva cassidy, yet her own individual style and not to be missed live. I wait with great anticipation for the first album. Join her many legions of local fans, enjoying great music.
Very, very good
It's a shame that "Purple Sun", the title track, is actually the weakest song on this EP. It's a good song, but when I first listened to it, I assumed this was going to be one of those EPs that I think of as "okay" and only listen to from time to time. However, both "Since I Saw You" and "Weight Of Water" are stunning, raw and emotional songs. Steph Fraser has a beautiful voice and the music sounds similar to a young Joni Mitchell. This EP is even more impressive given her young age. A very, very promising debut, and Steph Fraser deserves to achieve widespread recognition in the future.

listened to Steph outside HMV in Blackpool recently, nice to see the effort being put in to back up a great sound. Had not heard Steph before but made an instant impression. Great work keep it up.
