Does it Push The Button?

When I saw this album for sale in the shops it was hailed as the saviour of dance music. Quiet an accolade for the Chems. This album is close but doesn't quiet push the button nor reaches the epic heights reached in Come With Us (sadly not available from iTunes). Unlike previous albums, which should be enjoyed as a whole, this somehow does not quiet tie together. The collaborations although on the whole good, appeared to have been jimmied into a developing album. Nowhere is this more evident when Left Right appears after nearly 40 minutes of uninterupted music from Galvanize (the best collaboration with Q-Tip) to The Big Jump. This is an album worth owning but if you want to know the real Chemical Brothers buy Surrender and then marvel at their development on Come With Us

good stuff

this is a good album for all dance and rave fans, the big jump and the classic galvanize are definately must gets

A matter of taste?

In my opinion, this album is absolutely fantastic. The Chemical Brothers exhibit a much wider range of styles with this album.. and it suits them. Although diehard fans of the Chemical Brothers might not like this album as much as previous albums, Push the Button has a much more mainstream appeal. I've personally found that their previous albums can be a bit much.. need to take them one track at a time. This album, on the other hand, is perfectly suitable for listening to in any situation. I've yet to meet anyone that doesn't like it from the first listen. Highlights are Hold Tight London and The Big Jump. Left Right is a bit political, but brilliant in its own right.

And when the duo (Tom Rowlands...
