This will take you to another world.. The spirit of Iceland captured in music. A definite must buy

I saw this band whilst on my travels last month at an nightclub called Nasa in Icelands capital, Reykjavik. From the beginning to the end it was like being taken to another planet and I feel very privileged to have seen them play live in their home town. There is something about Icelandic music that just cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. Iceland, the land of fire and ice. 130 volcanic mountains and a landscape that one could easily believe that you have just walked into the wardrobe of the late CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, you really have to see it to believe it. Its beauty is unsurpassed and so is the warmth of the people you will meet there. Icelanders have a very strong spiritual connection to their environment and this is manifested powerfully through its musicians. This album is the epitome of all of these things. Trust me, buy this album and kick back in your recliner or wherever most comfortable and listen to this from your sound system or Ipod. This is a spiritual journey you cannot afford to be without.

quite simply

Not as original as the first album in fact some of it is pretty bland (but there again i have not been to iceland or read c s lewis ) thoka is beautiful though

Perfect

I love the progressive build up and arrangement of instruments - Amiina is coming to their own. Beautifully crafted, it is original without being brass.
