Cheeky
Borrowing heavily from "retro" bands, but in a good way. Great chorus on the title track. Old synths, but it is used with love, not just to show off. Will cheer you up.
...but better live!
Radio Ladio is an ok track, but i prefer Hear to Wear. After seeing them support Justice & CSS, i thought the studio versions of the songs would be better as at the gigs they rocked it!!! Ah well, they're still not bad tracks. Still a bit of a shame though.

Radio Ladio is brilliant! It hooks on first listen, the perfect first single. His arranging has developed, now less just great beats but more complete songs - I'm sure all his remix work has helped his own songwriting (check out the Good Shoes, Sebastien Tellier and Roots Manuva remixes). There's a live version of Heartbreaker on the myspace site which, to me, is the best metronomy track to date, giving us high hopes on what's coming on the new record.
