Two years in the making, Raymond v Raymond is the product of conflicted circumstances. The singer hoped he could reconstruct the formula of Confessions, the smash 2004 album that used his relationship troubles as source material for a series of platinum pop songs. Raymond v Raymond was a rockier process, with rockier results, but it still offers a lot of fascinating moments. “Monstar”, “OMG” and “So Many Girls” take a crack at the robotic club sounds currently in vogue, but Usher’s style is too limber and sweet to fit in this mold. He fares better on “Foolin’ Around”, “Guilty” and “Papers”, which showcase his agile, still-young vocals, and feel honest, both musically and lyrically. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis deliver “Mars vs. Venus” and “Pro Lover”, two songs that prove that when Usher is paired with a creative, tasteful production team, he can still pull off sexed-up, hypnotic R&B songs. Created by RedOne, the Swedish producer-songwriter who is responsible for most of Lady Gaga’s biggest hits, “More” shows that the future pop landscape might yet hold a place for a fraught prince like Usher.

Buy for the wellbeing of your ears!

I  this album but my favorite's Hot Tottie, I only recently heard it on the radio! There are the obvious food ones like OMG and DJ Got us Falling in Love too... I love Usher I'm so glad he's returned and I know Bieber haters are going to deny it but I think Justin inspired him to get back into the big music industry! 

The King has Fallen Off

Always been a massive Usher fan but boy I can't wait for proper RnB to come back again. Is it me or is lots of RnB/Hip Hop turning in to dance music. He can sing, he can dance but he can't produce decent albums anymore. That's 2 duds in a row now! Here I stand was his first poor effort by his standards and while Raymond V Raymond is an improvement on that album with some nic tracks like 'There Goes My Baby' and Love Em All' this is still not the Usher I know and love. Since when did Usher start featuring artists like Justin Bieber and Enrique Iglesias? It's much more of a pop album than RnB, probably to broaden his appeal to a wider audience but like me if you were looking for an album in the same vain as 'My Way, 8701 or Confessions' look else where coz this album is going to let you down. Instead, check out Joe's signature album or Marques Houston's Mr. Houston to hear a proper contempory RnB album.

The Best Album since Confessions !!

Ive heard many reviewers say this isnt best album, thats a rubbish comment. This is the best album since Confessions, OMG is RNB/POP Genius, Justin Bieber Duet works , DJ got us Fallin is problarly something none of saw coming and Hot Tottie (must be played loud). If you cant wait for Excellent Talay Riley or Labrinth Album. This a must...Its best RNB Album this year....
