... and relax!

I have to confess that I generally steer clear of classical compilations - a market seemingly saturated with 'music you've heard on the television commercial' collections or edited sets aimed solely at the ocassional Classic FM listener. This delightful selection, however, has led me to break my golden rule. Sure enough, there is a scattering of the aforementioned 'advert' pieces here (although what hasn't been exploited in the name of advertising these days?), but there's clearly been far more thought and attention put into this, made evident by the inclusion of such gems as Liadov's The Enchanted Lake, Bruckner's Locus Iste and the wonderful 3 Gymnopedies by Satie. It certainly makes for a relaxing listen - as the title suggests - but it's also a thoroughly uplifting and enjoyable collection of recordings.

At last, a classical album for everyone!!

I saw this at No.1 in the charts, so thought I'd give it a shot. I've not been disappointed, and I'm not the only one, everybody loves this album. I played it at work, and I kept being asked "where can I get a copy?". If everyone had this album the world would be a calmer and nicer place. I really love it!!

So relaxing

This is such an amazing selection of beautiful music, I have bought several classical compilations in the past and the music on this is by far the best of all of them. I put this on when I get back from the office and I instantly feel relaxed. The only thing that would be better is if work didn't stress me out so much in the first place!
