Just Listen and your Understand
Fans of the Dave Seaman and Renaissance combination will not be let down, well thoughtout transistions, great choice of tracks! Just Great!
Renaissance = still hope for dance music...
This is just thoughtfully selected and well mixed subliminal slightly dark and twisted house music. 'No Trace' is my pick of a strong bunch. DS delivers the perfect antidote to all the commercial bubblegum house (Hedkandi... I'm looking at you....) that seems to be everywhere at the moment...
Dark EDM
I write this review in late 2011. CD1 of this album has recently, and therefore will always be known as the mix that, converted me wholly onto this style of EDM. Jorris Doorn's "Balance 014" deserves credit too, but Dave Seaman can take the lion's share. Previously, it was always big-room trance for me (Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond etc). CD1 is dark, it is a journey. There is no filler, every track plays its part to make the whole - a masterpiece of a mix. There is a thoughtfulness in the mix that dawns and dawns on you the more you listen. It is a work of art, and art is subjective. If you have even a tickling fancy to this sort of EDM do not hesitate: dive in, buy it and fall in love.
