COMPLETELY BEAUTIFUL!
I am thrilled to hear this wonderful song of Humph's being reworked and sung so beautifully by Ian Shaw. The song is so poignant given the great man's sad demise. I absolutely love it! The whole feel of it is just right. Ian Shaw has the most incredible voice. He can do anything with it and the way he perfoms this song is spot on.
Buy it! It's a stunning and fitting tribute :-)
I LOVE IT! Ian Shaw's voice sounds great, Sue Richardson's trumpet sounds beautiful, and it's a lovely melancholic song. I understand that a percentage of profits is going to the Humph Memorial Fund, so it's even more of a worthwhile purchase. But it and tell your friends!! :-)
It made me cry
We were lucky enough to see Humph's band 3 or 4 times in the last two years of his life and heard him sing this song in those shows. Hearing this great version made me cry (in my office at work) but at that same time brought back all the great memories of Humph's shows. There is beautiful trumpet playing from Sue Richardson and Ian Shaw's wonderful vocals create a memorable performance.
