Best solo artist album of the year.
Sarabeth deserves great things this year. There is not an ounce of schmaltz or the usual over earnest emoting we have all come to expect and accept from modern day singer songwriters. Every song is great, and it flows like a classic album should. You get the feeling that she has really took care with the way her songs are presented - raw and simple in some cases, and augmented powerfully or delicately in others. Other reviews will talk about influences ( All very respectable incidentally), but i just want to encourage you to download the whole album to get the full picture. A record of genuine integrity in a time of great need.
beautiful voice
i saw sarabeth as a support at a ray lamontagne gig and she was amazing and she has such a beautiful soft voice definitely recomend her.
Best "Free" iTunes track ever!
Caught the free track: "hot tears" and couldn't stop playing it. Bought the whole album and feel like I've stumbled onto a real winner with all the future potential of Beth Orton or Natalie Merchant. Wonderful lazy landscape guitar riffs and a vocal to die for. What more can a man ask for? Buy it now and tell all your friends to buy it too. Ernest the Goose
