Good album
I don't see why everyone is complaining, this is an amazing album
Quit complaining.
Bands need to grow. Bands need to explore different sounds, and this is exactly what HIM have done here. Each album is different, different story, different situations. This is reflecting Ville Valo's life. In some sense HIM albums are his autobios. Yes it is americanised. There is nothing wrong with that. Respect the music and time HIM have put into this album, try and pick out the good points of the album instead of being negative and staying with your negative thoughts. I agree that it is more commercial for the american market, but that doesn't make it bad. In a sense HIM are getting better as a band. I reccommend this album for any person new to HIM. The band is growing more popular so unfortunately for those older HIM listeners to get recognised in America this is the sound that appeals to them. the band is getting older this equals more mature sounds. Personally, i love this album and can't stop listening to it. It's fresh and uplifting. Quite a difference from venus doom, completely contrasting. Screamworks has exceeded my expectations. :)
Different but yet hopeful.
Its most definitely not another HIM album about unrequited or lost love but more of hope in love.......the lyrics are refreshing with the sound being quite uptempo, possibly one of their most commercial albums to date.
I can't say I love it yet nor choose a track which is outstanding as I've only played the album in its entirety twice but its promising.
