Customer Reviews
You just have to listen to this.
This is one of the most moving things I have ever listened to. Very difficult not to dance, rock it and even cry. Do yourself a favour a download without delay.
Let me break it down for you
This album is a rare opportunity for people to hear honest reports and personal messages sent from an often forgotten and misunderstood generation. This album is raw, funny, life affirming, important and above all really good. Time Out described it as "one of the best albums of 2008" & "if it had a major label behind it it would definitely make the mercury awards list". Now understand this: it was created by young people from South London all of them with special/emotional & behavior needs, all of them with very low literacy abilities, the project was supported & created by Artists In Residence (a collective of professional artists) and with that knowledge and this album you will be armed for a very special and unique experience. Politicians, Educational experts, people old and new listen to Self Songs it reminds us how brave we need to be to remain human. Thanks to all who were involved your an inspiration, Cel.
